Synthesis of 1,6-hexanediol diacrylate
1,6-Hexanediol diacrylate is a bifunctional functional monomer, which has the characteristics of low skin irritation, low shrinkage rate and high activity. 1,6-Hexanediol diacrylate can be used as a raw material for organic synthesis and an intermediate for chemical production. It can be widely used in plastics, adhesives, textiles, rubber, modified copolymers, etc.
1,6-Hexanediol diacrylate uses 1,6-hexanediol and acrylic acid as raw materials, p-toluenesulfonic acid and sulfurous acid as catalysts, cyclohexane as water-carrying agent, and CuSO4/NaHSO4 as composite polymerization inhibitor. Then, 1,6-hexanediol diacrylate was synthesized by direct esterification.
